Roc Chen is the first Chinese film composer to pass the 1 Billion dollars in box office of his credits combined in history. With over 15 years’ experience, Roc has worked on over 200 projects, including Ne Zha 2, Kung Fu Panda 3, The Wandering Earth1&2, Jackie Chan film, Ubisoft video games, and many more. He has collaborated with major studios such as DreamWorks, Disney, Universal, BBC, 20th Century Fox, Huayi Brothers (partner of STX), China Film Group, and so forth.
Before he obtained his master degree of composition at Sichuan Conservatory of Music, he chose the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China for his bachelor degree, making him a master of both art and the technology world. He now works from his 2 cutting edge music studios based in Los Angeles and Beijing. The experiences of working with Dreamworks, Disney, BBC, etc. helped him to understand the method and workflow of big studios.
